Taco Mac is returning to Marietta and Woodstock after a four month hiatus. Both Taco Mac restaurants originally opened in 1998, and in January 2018, converted to "Morgan’s Sports Grill," a similar concept created by franchisee Rick Lindsay. On Wednesday, May 30, the two restaurants, located at 9020 Highway 92 in Woodstock and 2650 Dallas Highway in Marietta, will reopen as part of the Taco Mac brand. “Taco Mac will operate both of these restaurants as of May 30. The specific terms of the deal are not being disclosed.”
"We aim to be Georgia's best neighborhood restaurant for craft beer enthusiasts, families and sports fans. We're thrilled to bring back our award-winning wings, the most craft beer on draft and our popular Brewniversity program to our friends and neighbors in Woodstock and Marietta," said Taco Mac owner and CEO Harold Martin, Jr.
An Atlanta favorite since 1979, Taco Mac offers over 100 beers on draft, the Southeast’s original buffalo wings and 50+ HD TVs for enjoying sporting events. Started by two friends from Buffalo, New York, Taco Mac now has 29 locations across Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina.
As we reported in March, Taco Mac was purchased by Harold Martin, Jr., who now serves as managing partner and CEO, along with Michael Bodnar, John Michael Bodnar and Mike Tidwell of Fresh Hospitality.
Martin said at the time: “Customer engagement is something we are aiming to enhance because we want guests to truly identify with their neighborhood Taco Mac.” “We will work with staff to ensure that the quality of the dining experience remains consistent across the board while retaining the unique character of each neighborhood restaurant.” Martin added.
