A new quick-serve franchise specializing in sushi burritos is planning its Georgia debut. Roll On In Sushi Burritos and Bowls will open the first of at least three planned locations later this fall in East Cobb. The new eatery will be located Woodlawn Point, a Publix anchored shopping center at 1100 Johnson Ferry Road. Roll On In will open in suite 100, a 1,050 square foot space adjacent to La Vida Massage.
The restaurant features a variety of typical sushi proteins like salmon, tuna, crab, and tofu, but also some more burrito-like proteins such as chicken and steak. "Fillers" include traditional vegetable options like spinach, cucumber and carrots, but also hummus, guacamole and kale, among other options.
Co-owners John Kallenberger and Michael McCarthy started Roll On In in Lebanon, a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio, in June 2016. This past November, Roll On In partnered with franchise development firm "Emerging Franchises" in launching their franchise program.
Today Roll On In has expanded to include a total of five locations in Ohio, with one more coming soon to Cleveland, as well as another that opened recently in Wilmington, North Carolina.
The Roll On In website specifies the Marietta location as being at 1100 Johnson Ferry Road. The website also lists other planned Atlanta area locations for Alpharetta and Roswell, but does not specify their locations, likely an indication that they are future targets rather than ones with leases signed. The Atlanta area expansion is being led by franchisee and Roswell resident Monte Jump and his Jump Restaurant Brands, LLC.
"Roll On In Sushi Burritos and Bowls is a truly unique franchising opportunity. Our management team has over 60 years in business building and the franchising industry. We have built Roll On In to be the easiest and most profitable food franchise opportunity available."
ToNeTo Atlanta was first to report in June that BoruBoru Sushi Burrito + Bowl, an eatery similar to Roll On In, is also expanding locally. The Atlanta-based eatery, which currently has one area location at Emory Point near Decatur, will open this fall at the Whole Foods Market anchored Hammond Exchange shopping center in Sandy Springs.
