A familiar brand is opening an exciting new concept at Town Center at Cobb in Kennesaw. Pac-Man Zone, owned and operated by Namco USA, will later this spring make its metro Atlanta debut at the Simon owned mall.  Located in a 4,800 square-foot space on the upper level next to Sears, Pac-Man Zone is an arcade built to accommodate over 50 engaging games for people of all ages. "The creators of the legendary video game character Pac-Man have designed a place that provides entertainment and encourages everyone to play together again."
“We strive to bring offerings that encourage the community to visit the center to shop, eat and play,” said Area Director of Marketing & Business Development Shelly Weidner. “Entertaining options like Pac-Man Zone add to the overall shopping and dining experience at Town Center at Cobb.”  Pac-Man Zone will feature iconic games, digital delights and a party area, offering plenty of options for single players or groups.

Developed and released by video game maker Namco in 1980,  maze arcade game Pac-Man has remained a popular title and its characters have been adopted and licensed for dozens of toys, movies, games and other entertainment products.

According to the Pac-Man Play website, there are several versions of the concept with some including cafes and others simply lending the Pac-Man name and branding to existing arcades like "Time Out Powered by Pac-Man."  In Georgia, there is one Time Out Powered by Pac-Man at Dalton Mall (formerly Walnut Square Mall) in Dalton.

Are you excited for the addition of Pac-Man Zone to Town Center at  Cobb?  What was your favorite video game growing up?   Did you ever go to Time Out or Challenges when you were little?
