Popular bar makes an "Irish Goodbye" in Brookhaven.  Olde Blind Dog, a TOWN Brookhaven mainstay since its opening in 2012, has closed.  The restaurant, located in a nearly 5,000 square foot space adjacent to The Goodwynn apartment community, opened in April 2012 and closed as of May 16.  In 2015, Irish Pubs Global Federation named Olde Blind Dog "Irish Pub of the Year."  The Brookhaven outpost was the restaurant's second location following the original in Crabapple Market in Milton, which remains open.

Despite having a first-generation restaurant space, the owners did an amazing job of giving the space character and ambiance beyond its years, to the point where you felt like it had been there forever.  We at ToNeTo Atlanta were especially fond of their tater tots which they, unlike basically all other restaurants, prepared in-house.

No official reason was provided for the closure, but sources close to the restaurant tell ToNeTo Atlanta that the Brookhaven outpost had underperformed Milton for an extended period of time.

Old Blinde Dog is now one of more than a dozen eateries to have closed in TOWN Brookhaven since its inception.  Prior to its closure, Old Blinde Dog, Moe's Southwest Grill and THERE were the last three eateries still in business from the project's original debut.  Some spaces, such as those currently occupied by HOBNOB and Red Pepper Taqueria, have changed concepts/operators multiple times.

ToNeTo Atlanta previously reported that Crumbl Cookies opened in place of a onetime Which Wich? and Kilwin's opened in place of a former Marble Slab Creamery.  Also, The Wing Guru is expected to open soon in place of Tanaka Ramen and Noodle Bar.
