It may be cold outside but here at Tomorrow's News Today, I have hot news!

Midtown's Takorea was looking to open in Decatur in the former HOLA! Mexican Cantina but neighboring Noodle vetoed it on the basis that Takorea is another "Korean-owned restaurant" (Noodle is apparently Korean-owned)

Memphis Barbecue Co.  will open its first Atlanta area location in Dunwoody later this year. The new restaurant will replace the shuttered Firkin & Gryphon restaurant at Ashford Place on Ashford Dunwoody Road.    Melissa Cookston, the restaurant's owner, has existing locations in North Carolina and Mississippi.

Pinkberry is opening a new location in Lenox Square.  The frozen yogurt shop already has an existing location in Buckhead Triangle and will reportedly keep this location open when the new shop opens in Lenox Square.  Pinkberry entered the Atlanta market in 2010 and currently has locations in Buckhead, at Akers Mill near Cumberland Mall, at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and at Valdosta State University.

In related news, Pinkberry has closed its location on at Merchant's Walk in East Cobb.  The 1,350 square foot location opened in 2010, preceded by the Akers Mill opening and followed by the Buckhead shop.  Pinkberry at Merchant's Walk reportedly closed Sunday night and by later last night, had been removed from the corporate website.

Stevi B's has closed its second location in the past 90 days.  The Atlanta-based pizza buffet closed its South Cobb Drive location in Smyrna as of December 22nd, about a month after they closed their location in Briarcliff Village near Northlake Mall.

Today the Holiday Inn Atlanta Capitol Conference Center Hotel (450 Capitol Avenue) officially became  Hotel Capitol Park. The 375-room hotel is no longer part of the Holiday Inn family but plans to continue its previously announced lobby renovation and room upgrades.

After a short break, Yum Bunz has permanently closed on the westside.
