After several delays and a few unforeseen challenges - and a pre-opening location pivot - metro Atlanta will later this year welcome a third outpost of healthy fast casual eatery Original ChopShop. Previously slated to open at 10800 Haynes Bridge Road, delivery delays of what would have been a new "white box" space led the Plano-based operator to change their plans.
In an effort to avoid suffering a similar fate to that of Bolay, ChopShop CEO Jason Morgan tellsToNeTo Atlanta they plan to drastically change the exterior to improve its visibility and enhance the existing patio. If all goes well, Morgan said he would like to see Alpharetta open no later than this coming September.
Original ChopShop entered the Atlanta market in November 2022 with an outpost along Peachtree Road near Peachtree Battle. A second location debuted this past August along Cobb Parkway, just south of Cumberland Mall.
The fast-casual eatery's menu features a rather diverse roster of offerings with several protein bowls, wraps, sandwiches, and salads in addition to acai and pitaya bowls, avocado toast, other breakfast wraps and bowls, protein shakes, and cold brew coffee. Fresh juices and lemonades as well as sides like sweet potato hash with kale and onion, plus a kids' menu, are also offered. The restaurant is open throughout the day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
There are currently twenty-two locations of the Original ChopShop open in Arizona, Georgia, and Texas with seven more, including the Alpharetta outpost, "coming soon," according to the company's website.
