My friend, the wait is nearly over! Aviva by Kameel has received their CO (Certificate of Occupancy) and will celebrate the Grand Opening of their new restaurant this Friday November 8 from 6 to 10 pm in Buckhead!
The new Aviva is located to the left of longstanding tenant Piu Bello, an existing pizza shop, two doors from Burtons Grill & Bar, a new casual American restaurant opening November 7, and a few doors down from existing Szechuan eatery Urban Wu.
ToNeTo Atlantafirst reported on the planned opening last December.
Buckhead Landing marks the third overall location of the popular Mediterranean eatery following the original and flagship which opened in October 2012 at The Hub at Peachtree Center downtown. A satellite shop at CODA in Midtown debuted in July 2020.
To celebrate the Buckhead opening, Aviva will offer several goodies to those who dine at the restaurant opening night.
+ The first 100 guests will receive a signature Aviva dad hat.
+ The first 10 guests will receive a $50 gift card.
+ Everyone who walks through the door will enjoy complimentary baklava and soup!
For those unfamiliar, Aviva by Kameel is a counter-service Mediterranean eatery that is widely regarded as being one of the best in the city. The eatery has plenty of vegetarian options like falafel and creamed spinach but also popular meat options like their rosemary chicken, lamb shawarma, and roasted salmon.
Kameel Srouji, his son Nas, and sister Aviva, for whom the restaurant is named, are the guiding forces behind the restaurant, with Nas expected to manage the new Buckhead outpost.
"Born in the historical city of Nazareth as the youngest of eleven siblings, Kameel's culinary journey began in the warmth of his family kitchen, where the rhythmic dance of flavors and the communal spirit of mealtime left an indelible mark on his young heart. Under the watchful eyes of his mother and sisters, Kameel learned that the secret to exceptional food lies not just in the ingredients, but in the love and care infused into each dish."
The restaurant offers halal meats that are hormone and antibiotic-free and cooks in 100% olive oil, underscoring their focus on healthier offerings.
In addition to Aviva by Kameel and the aforementioned Burtons, a new location of Omakase Table, Handel's Ice Cream, and Publix, among other tenants, are expected to open in the coming months at Buckhead Landing.
