Stream Realty Planning New Midtown Development

A vacant Atlanta restaurant will soon make way for a new development.

Stream Realty Partners plans to redevelop the former home of Bobby & June's Kountry Kitchen into 11,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.  The project, for now known as "375 14th Street," is slated to open next spring. Jack Arnold of Stream tells me that thus far there are no executed leases, but stopped short of saying they have nothing in the works.

The property is located at the corner of Mecaslin and 14th Streets, very close to the Georgia Tech campus.

375 14th Street will include a number of suites as well as one higher profile endcap space.  The property will also have tiered parking in the rear and limited street level parking in the front.

Bobby & June Kountry Kitchen closed in late 2010 after 30 years in business.  Plans call for the existing structure to be demolished to make way for the new project.

Real estate sources say that nearby Moe's Original BBQ has not performed to company expectations, but that the nearby Jimmy John's (which historically does well near college campuses) is doing well.

What restaurant / retail tenants would you like most to see open at 375 14th Street?  Do you think Moe's Original BBQ is not long for this world?  Do you still miss Bobby & June Kountry Kitchen? Please share your thoughts below.
