Five more Cook-Out restaurants are coming to Georgia!
North Carolina-based Cook-Out has plans to open at least five new locations in Georgia in the coming months.
Confirmed Cook-Out locations are coming soon to:
6273 Jonesboro Road (Morrow)
The Morrow Cook-Out will be opened in the former Mrs. Winner's that was later Reba's Famous Fried Chicken and This is Wings.
3626 Mundy Mill Road (Oakwood)
The Oakwood / Gainesville Cook-Out will open in a renovated existing structure that has served a variety of prior uses.
2790 Panola Road (Lithonia)
In Lithonia, Cook-Out will again make use of a one time Mrs. Winner's restaurant that had more recently turned into "Wings & Philly."
113 Richard B. Russell Parkway (Warner Robins)
In Warner Robins, Cook-Out will open in a structure that was originally built as a Hardees and later became RicoMex before becoming a Checkers. The Checkers closed in 2009 and the space has been vacant since.
2910 Washington Road (Augusta)
In Augusta, Cook-Out will open in place of a former Fazoli's turned "Crazy Turks Pizza & Grill."
A Cook-Out is reportedly "very close" to being finalized in Carrollton while sites are reportedly being scouted in Macon and Marietta.
Cook-Out secured a location at 46 West May Street in Winder and was seeking zoning approval for a drive-thru, among other requests. After receiving all necessary approvals from the city council in early March, Cook-Out abandoned their plans the following day without explanation.
Cook-Out locations in Lithonia and Morrow will join existing Cook-Out locations in Rome and East Atlanta as previously having been Mrs. Winner's locations. Mrs. Winner's, once prevalent throughout the state, is down to three Georgia locations, and eleven locations overall, according to its website.
Cook-Out entered Georgia last year with a location in Statesboro near Georgia Southern University. The Statesboro location was previously a Bojangles'.
In the months since, additional locations have opened in Augusta (2), Athens, Pooler, Savannah, Milledgeville, Rome and Atlanta, on Moreland Avenue in East Atlanta.
Cook-Out plans to open additional locations in Atlanta near Georgia Tech and in Kennesaw near Kennesaw State University by the end of the year.
Industry sources say Cook-Out has plans to open 20-25 locations (chain-wide) annually over the next five years.
