Sources say the demolition of the former Executive Park Hotel is scheduled for November 8th, before 8AM. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta purchased the property last year and will replace the old hotel and related structures with facilities for their organization.
Restoration Hardware plans to open its new five-story, 60,000 square foot flagship store November 21st. The giant store replaces the Restoration Hardware store that closed in Lenox Square a few years ago. An ESPN Zone restaurant and game center previously occupied the parcel where Restoration Hardware has been built. (The Cheesecake Factory departed their space next to RH in order to relocate to the front of Lenox Square earlier this summer.)
Pirch (fka Fixtures Living) plans to open December 13th at Lenox Marketplace. The roughly 27,000 square foot store replaces a portion of Filene's Basement. Pirch specializes in home hardware and appliances including indoor and outdoor kitchens.
Neiman Marcus Last Call Studio plans to open October 30th at Lenox Marketplace. The roughly 14,000 square foot store occupies a portion of the former Filene's Basement. This will be the first Atlanta area location of Neiman Marcus Last Call Studio. The "Studio" stores are a newer concept store featuring merchandise that never hit the floor of any full line Neiman Marcus but was instead purchased/produced to be sold for less. Dallas, Texas-based Neiman Marcus operates one full line store in Buckhead at Lenox Square, and one Last Call Outlet at Sugarloaf Mills in Duluth.
According to a building permit filed with the city of Atlanta, Tiffany & Co. is reducing the size of their store at Phipps Plaza. The store currently measures 10,637 square feet but is being reduced by 1000 square feet. The excess space will be "returned to landlord." The permit indicates that $150,000 will be spent to renovate and downsize the store. Tiffany & Co. previously added 1500 square feet to their store in 2000 encompassing the former Il Centro space. Tiffany & Co. opened at Phipps Plaza in 1969 becoming the first mall-based location for the New York-based luxury retailer. (Phipps Plaza opened in 1969 and Tiffany & Co. along with Saks Fifth Avenue are the only two original stores at the mall.)

A new eatery named Le Creperie plans to open soon in Lenox Square's Fashion Cafe. According to a building permit filed with the city of Atlanta, $35,000 will be spent to make the 534 square foot space Le Creperie. Hopefully Le Creperie has better luck than Wafflery.
The new Haverty's Style Studio in Buckhead is slated to open this Friday the 17th and will celebrate with a grand opening the following week. The Atlanta-based furniture store replaces what was most recently The Container Store in Buckhead Square shopping center at the corner of Peachtree and Piedmont Roads.
