Bojangles' is coming to Sandy Springs.
A new location of Charlotte, North Carolina-based Bojangles'is coming soon to Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. The new Bojangles' will open at 8550 Roswell Road in place of the former La Strada / Derby Food & Spirits / Locos Grill & Pub. The freestanding 4,000 square foot restaurant has been vacant for over a year and is being heavily renovated for its new purpose. The renovations will also include the addition of the all-important drive-thru to the building.
Unlike other recently announced proposed Bojangles' locations in Chamblee and Doraville, the Sandy Springs location will be franchised. The franchise group, RV Restaurant Management, LLC, has territory rights to development new Bojangles' restaurants in both Cobb and Fulton counties. (A new Bojangles' slated to open early next month in Dacula is corporately owned.)
James F. Kennedy, Operating Partner & Vice President of Operations for the franchise group, has an extensive background in the quick serve restaurant world. Over the past thirty years, Kennedy has held senior management roles with Roy Roger's, Ponderosa, Arby's, Dunkin' Donuts and Rita's Italian Ice.
In addition to the upcoming Bojangles' in Sandy Springs, a new Zaxby's is close to opening just south of the Abernathy & Roswell Road intersection. Last year, Waffle House relocated their restaurant from the corner of Johnson Ferry and Roswell Roads to a new location at 6445 Roswell Road.
