Mexican chain planned for Milton.
Lake Forest, California based Del Taco plans to open a new restaurant in Milton next year. The new freestanding restaurant would be built in an outparcel of an existing ALDI store on Highway 9, across from the Super Target-anchored Deerfield Place.
Del Taco has been looking to enter the Alpharetta/Milton area for about a year, but I finally received confirmation of this location this week. There are no hard dates for either construction or opening, but I expect the location will open in the first half of next year.
Del Taco marked its third return to the Atlanta market with their hugely successful opening in Snellville in 2012. Since then, the chain has added locations in Kennesaw, Marietta, Smyrna (2), East Cobb, Columbus and Woodstock. Each location is open 24/7, and it's expected that the Milton location will have the same hours.
As I mentioned earlier this month, a new Del Taco is also coming to McDonough on Georgia Highway 20, across from the South Point shopping center.
Where would you like next for a Del Taco to open? Are you, like me, still waiting for a return of El Pollo Loco? Are you a fan of the new Taco Bell breakfast menu?
