Bagel joint planning new Sandy Springs location.
Bagel Boys Cafe, currently a two unit concept based in Alpharetta, will be opening a new location in Sandy Springs later this spring. The eatery will open just off Peachtree- Dunwoody Road in the street level retail space of the Peachtree Dunwoody Place apartment complex. The property sits basically across the street from The Home Depot and Costco.
The space Bagel Boys is opening in was briefly home to "That Pie Place," a pie-centric restaurant which closed last summer after about a year and half in business.
I'm told the new location should open by mid-to-late April.
Einstein Bros. Bagels operates an existing locations less than a mile away, at the corner of Hammond Drive & Peachtree Dunwoody Road, in the Publix at Perimeter shopping center.
After working for ten years for "a national chain bagel shop," owner John Lamb opened the first Bagel Boys on Haynes Bridge Road in Alpharetta in 2005. He added a second location, with a drive-thru, on Kimball Bridge Road in 2010.
Bagel Boys offers a variety of coffee, freshly baked bagels, oatmeal, smoothies and artisanal deli sandwiches.
Have you tried Bagel Boys Cafe? Do you think they will do well in Sandy Springs? What is your favorite bagel place?
